A Big Win For America

The election is finally over!

Now our elected officials on both sides of the aisle can pull together and do what they were elected to do, and that is to legislate for the betterment of our country. Mitch McConnell's sole objective of making Obama a one term president is now moot.

There is no third term, so the Republicans can redirect their efforts toward doing something positive for America.

To both Republicans and Democrats in Congress -

Can't we just get along?

  1. For four years I have believed that on election night in 2008 the world saw America in--if not her finest hour--certainly her finest hour in recent memory. Sadly, we went downhill from there: with the "birther" movement, Congressional obstruction, and now the deliberate attempt to destroy the rights of women, minorities, immigrants [legal or otherwise] and voters, for crying out loud!

I'm thrilled about Obama's re-election because now "We the People" won't be able to say, "Well, we tried a black guy and he only lasted one term." Eat your heart out, McConnell.

  2. As always Bill, a great comment.

The Republicans now have four years to try finding a "reasonable" candidate to run for president in 2016 and in addition, just maybe, do their jobs. McConnell, even today is not buying into that idea, but he is up for renewal in 2014. For the good of the country I hope he is rejected.

I hope all is well with you, my friend.
